In order to bring down pollution in river Ganga, Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharati has sanctioned a Rs.558 crore project to construct one each STP and sewage network at Beoor and KamaaliChak in Bihar.Ffor a STP & sewage network in Saidpur, Rs.453.56 crore has been sanctioned at the central level. This project would reduce floods in river Kosi in north Bihar and providing water to the southern part of the state.
