Sewage treatment plant to come up in Central Jail

Being Ganga Clean Mission in place there are more initiatives taking place to keep other rivers clean and clear. In one of the incidences Bareilly Central jail authorities is going to construct a Sewage Treatment plant with the help of state government by spending 8 crores inside the jail premises The plant is being set up to keep a check on the discharge of pollutants form the jail into Ramganga river as per the officials, This step would help to stop discharging waste from the jail into the river.
According to AK Rai, superintendent of central jail, The soak pit overflows on a regular basis. Due to this, the waste is released into the drains, which later pollutes Ramganga. However, after the plant gets ready, the waste generated in the jail will be recycled.
