Now vegetable can be grown with waste water

Sewage treatment plant (STP), Which has the capacity to treat 40 millions litres of sewage per day (MLD), set up by the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation at Gabbur, will start its functioning soon and Farmers on the outskirts of the city will get treated water for growing vegetables within two months. A total of 16.32 acres of land has been reserved for the project and nearly 4.5 acres of it has been used for installing the 40-MLD capacity STP plant . Sewage generated in Hubballi will be segregated at the plant and the processed water will be used for secondary and tertiary purposes like gardening and cultivation.
